Online Tutoring Opportunities for Experienced Teachers
We welcome qualified, experienced teachers who combine excellent subject knowledge with a thoughtful, personalised approach to online tuition.
Work with students in the UK and internationally across IB Diploma, A-Level, International A-Level, IGCSE, GCSE and MYP.
Applications are only accepted from
qualified teachers (PGCE or TeachFirst) with school classroom teaching experience (we don’t accept TEFL).
A recognised school teaching qualification, such as a PGCE, BEd or equivalent.
classroom experience of over 5 years in a British or Internationally recognised school, in the subject and age range you wish to tutor.
a current DBS certificate or equivalent police/criminal-record check available for review.
a UK, Singapore or European bank account for payments in your name
the ability to explain challenging ideas clearly, identify misconceptions and adapt teaching to individual students
professional communication, reliable attendance and thorough lesson preparation.
Subject and Curriculum Expertise

Experience That Adds Value
We particularly welcome experience in examining, departmental leadership, international schools and supporting students with a range of learning needs.
Examiner experience is an advantage, but it is not essential. Excellent teaching, secure curriculum knowledge and the ability to respond to individual students are central to our selection.

Effective tuition starts with understanding the student. We look for teachers who listen carefully, ask purposeful questions and give students the time and opportunity to think for themselves.
Your lessons should build understanding, develop confidence and help students become increasingly independent. This includes clear explanations, carefully chosen practice, constructive feedback and examination technique where appropriate.

Working with Tutors Inc
Tutors Inc is led by Seo and Alveena, experienced teachers and former Tanglin Trust School colleagues. We take a personal approach to matching students with tutors whose expertise, teaching approach and availability suit their needs.
We manage enquiries and the client relationship, while you bring your professional expertise to planning and delivering personalised online lessons.
You will need reliable internet access, suitable equipment and a quiet, professional teaching environment.
Tutors work with Tutors Inc on a self-employed, independent basis. You choose your availability and whether to accept proposed students. Opportunities depend on student demand and suitability; joining our network does not guarantee lessons.
Safeguarding Requirements
A DBS certificate or equivalent police/criminal-record check is a requirement for applying to Tutors Inc. You must have this documentation available for review.
Please state the type of check you hold, its issuing country and its date of issue in your application. We will review its suitability and may request updated or additional safeguarding documentation before any introduction to a student.
You must also be able to provide evidence of your teaching qualifications and relevant experience.
